International Garden Festival
Every year, the Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire plays host to the prestigious Festival International des Jardins, delighting a public of enthusiasts and the curious. More than a botanical rendezvous, this event is a veritable plea for plant and animal diversity. With more than 75% of Europe’s flying insects having disappeared in the last thirty years, the Festival reminds us that gardens, as major pollination sites, remain a fragile ecosystem that is vital to the future of our planet.

MARKET OVERVIEW
Sologne and Sologne Bourbonnaise, Loire Valley, Parc Naturel National Loire Anjou Touraine, Parc Naturel Régional de la Brenne, Parc Naturel Régional du Morvan, Berry and Anjou: these territories are home to properties where nature, culture and traditions meet, embodying unique places in France.
Present in each of these regions, BARNES has reported stable results for the year to date, and in recent weeks has seen an increase in requests for appraisals. The market has not experienced the post-covid price surge of the traditional market. There is strong interest in working forests. The city of Angers is becoming increasingly attractive for its ancient architecture, its transport network, its proximity to the seaside and, above all, its economic dynamism.
The most sought-after properties have to meet a number of criteria: rarity, a privileged location free from nuisance, a sought-after location, impeccable fittings and materials. But often, the history of the property makes all the difference. And, as confirmation of a return to authenticity, buyers are increasingly focusing on respect for the environment.

L’Amour Blanc
The majestic Loire
In the heart of Blois, two-starred chef Christophe Hay has created his new eco-responsible living space. Set in a former 17th-century hospice, Fleur de Loire houses a hotel, a pastry kiosk, a 450m2 spa and two restaurants. On the second floor, Christophe Hay’s gastronomic table, where the chef expresses himself freely from the kitchen installed in the center of the room, drawing inspiration from the seasons and nature of the Loire Valley.
L’Amour Blanc, the establishment’s second restaurant, offers a breathtaking view of the majestic Château de Blois and the tumultuous Loire River that flows through the town. The menu features classic French dishes as well as wood-fired meats and fish. Sharing and conviviality, Amour Blanc has been imagined as a place open to all, a prelude to the Fleur de Loire experience.
