The origins of the site date back to the 11th century... An old wooden house stood on these lands. In the 15th century, on the existing foundations, a castle rises, surrounded by dry ditches.
The current configuration of the prestigious building is the result of developments in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Since 1960, many restoration works have been executed.
